The exhibition will be exploring the themes of technology, territory & nature, the aging and decay of analog technologies and or landscapes shaped by infrastructure and surveillance, stories of displacement, environmental change, repurposing of materials, memory and resilience. The event is inquiring about what is left behind (the traces/ruins) and how these remains can give rise to new meanings. It will also involve a multiplayer virtual museum with artist interviews and international artwork.
The exhibition will also be a fundraiser in support of Palestine, while not all participating artists will address Palestine directly, the exhibition hopes to hold space for many conversations around technology, territory & nature and collect funds for mutual aid.
This exhibition exists in two worlds! Alongside the gallery at ESC, visitors can explore a virtual pixel museum built within ruins, where they can view each artist's work, read interviews, and discover more about their practice.
